Glenfarg Child Development Centre

The Child Development Centre (CDC) consists of a team of professionals who work in partnership with parents and carers to ensure that a child reaches his or her full potential. The CDC aims to offer support services which are appropriate to the needs of the child and sensitive to the needs of the family. The teams consist of Paediatricians, Physiotherapists, Occupation Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Specialist Health Visitors, Nursery Nurse and Clinical Psychologists. Community and Educational Audiology and the Social Work Resource Team are also available within the centre.

Children are usually referred through their GP via the Health Visitor attached to the Practice. Sometimes children are referred by hospital Paediatricians and occasionally by other community child health staff.
